Two New Books

The first is a blank journal made from a machine-made text block, covered in natural and red bookcloth. The initials AKF have been carved and depressed into the front of the cover. Approx. size is 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" (with 144 blank sheets).




The second is a coptic bound journal with wood covers. It's approx. size is 4" x 3".

Flat Spine Journal

This Flat-Spine journal was covered with Bronze Japanese bookcloth. The machine made text-block is approximately 8 1/4" x 8 1/4". The frame on the front of the book, which houses a card that can be removed, was covered with Natural Japanese bookcloth. This Journal was created to match the Cream Link-Stitch Album.

I was finally able to update the website. I've been having problems with the FTP program I was using. I've added books and examples to most of the pages. I'm still working on getting my conservation work up. This is still a very rough draft of the website. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to get someone professional to do it or assit me with it. Cream Link-Stitch Album

I created this album on December 12th for a co-worker. Arches cover weight paper in Buff was used for the text block. The link-stitch book was covered in Natural Japanese bookcloth with Bronze Japanese bookcloth used for the framed name plate on the front. The card under the frame slides out so that the title may change. Natural waxed linen thread was used to bind the album together.

Red Silk Wedding Album

I created this Japanese stab binding guest book for Kirsten Rasmussen's wedding which was this last weekend. I padded the front and back covers and covered them in the same silk pin-tuck diamond fabric used for the ring pillows. The pages were printed, deckled and bound with a black sheer and satin ribbon. Approximate size is 6 1/2" x 10".

Hip to be Square (and Pink)

This is a journal I made this week for a friend. It's a machine-made text block from Paper Source, with a soft spine, covered in pink bookcloth and pink scrapbook paper. Approx. dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4".

Wedding Album

I created this wedding album for Allyson Clegg's wedding, this weekend. They chose a coptic binding with black Arches cover weight pages to use as an album and guest book. They plan on having photos of the couple on each page that guests can sign. The cover is gold Japanese bookcloth, and I used black waxed linen thread for the binding. The approximate measurements are 10 1/8" x 10 3/8" and the text pages are 10x10", of which the edges are deckled.
